Zazen = Zen meditation Genmai = Traditionnal Zen breakfast Samu = Traditional Zen mindful work for the community
Arrivals are expected at 3pm.
Once every one is here, a welcome meeting will be followed by a monastery tour.
A bit of free time after a day of travelling will be more than welcome to properly get comfortable in the rooms.
Dinner will be served, followed by an initiation to Zazen, the Zen meditation.
We will sit down with hot drinks to discuss the day before going to bed.
Lights out at 10pm.

The bells will ring at 7am to be in the dojo before 7:30am to do Zazen.
The breakfast is a whole ceremony. The Genmaï, traditionnal zen soto breakfast, will be served and eaten in silence with specific signs to guide us along the way.
Giving back to the community is a key role in a successful monastery. This notion forms what is Samu. Samu is mindful work done without any interests for one-self. This usually consists of helping with the dishes, maintaining the communal areas and work in the garden.
After a relaxed coffee time and some free time, a Yoga session will be given in the Hattô, the beautiful ceremony room.
After lunch and the dishes’ Samu, you will have some free time to rest.
A Zazen session will be observed.
Which will prepare us for our introduction jog of 7km to mindful running.
The last Zazen of the day will be done after dinner.
We will then sit down for some infusions and talks about the day that just passed before heading to bed.
Lights out at 10pm.

The bells will ring at 6am in order to be meditating in Zazen at 6:30am.
After Genmaï breakfast, the traditional morning Samu will take place.
One of the highlights of the retreat, we will leave for the Feature Mindful Run of 13 to 17km in the forests and villages nearby. With our picnics to take a lunch break in between.
We will have some free time to shower and rest.
A Yoga session will prepare us for the last Zazen of the day will be done after dinner.
We will then sit down for some infusions and talks about the day that just passed before heading to bed.
Lights out at 10pm.
